Art education has been shown to improve overall brain function, enhance problem solving abilities as well as overall engagement in learning. Learning new art skills builds self-esteem and confidence and, when practiced alongside others, art builds a supportive community. Art making can also be a calming, meditative endeavor. 

These wide-ranging benefits enhance individuals' learning and overall well-being, which in turn enhances our Cape Ann community.

 To ensure that our entire community has access to the benefits of art education and art making, Art Haven provides financial scholarships to those in need. 50% of our programming is delivered free to low-income families, removing logistical barriers by meeting families where they are with collaborative mobile programs across Cape Ann.

Our mission is to offset the inequity inherent in our diverse society, leveling the playing field for all students, making art accessible to all.
